Oh real big fan of the Vacation brand over here. Basically if I can make an annoying task enjoyable, I might actually do it, and the way that SPF smells, I'm so in. Anyway, that's how I justify buying the boujee stuff haha!
I have not, but only because I'm $40 deep into three bottles of the regular cream and I'm forcing myself to use them before buying anymore. But I want to!
Steph, what a beautiful moment you had with that fawn! I teared up reading about that experience, how special and devastating. I'm glad you got some time in nature, though.
I also saw Fall Guy recently and really loved it (then watched Hit Man this weekend and hated it? Felt like Glen Powell was a knock off Ryan Gosling who just...wasn't funny?). AND yes to Civil War. I saw it in theaters, too, and had to step outside in that final scene when they are at the capital. I sat outside the theater munching on M&M's waiting for the sound of gunfire to die down before I went back in. I liked the movie but my goodness, it was so stressful over overstimulating.
I have cried about a million times! And at least now I know a lot about what to do if you see fawns who appear abandoned.
And I also just saw Hit Man and can't decide how I feel about it? I also can't decide how I feel about Glen Powell? His costume changes were funny at least, I guess, but I did not laugh as much as I expected! I'm also glad (poor word choice) that I'm not alone in the reaction to Civil War. I should have escaped with M&Ms too because it was SO much at the end there.
Steph 🥹 I started to feel a bit emotional with that intro! The fawn in your lap 🥹 just so sweet and devastating, I think it’s better to believe that they found their mum again and lived happily ever after, for sake of refraining from complete emotional distress. I’m glad you had two lovely lovely holidays though. Nature! Yay!
Super pleased to see you loved ‘Against the loveless world’. I read it over two years ago now but I still think about it a lot. I also really didn’t like Circe when I read it years ago as well so feeling validated you felt the same bc everyone seems to love it! I just think I hate Greek mythology books tbh. Not my vibe.
And super interested to see you’ve bought ‘Chlorine’ I am so intrigued by that book! I want to hear a review from you asap 🩷🩷🩷 I hope June is sweet to you too. Love u bye xxx
My goal is just to make people sad by the end of my newsletters, clearly! Sweet and devastating is the exact combination I felt. Maybe I'll steer clear of nature for now and really lean into the city girl vibes?!?
Against the Loveless World is going to stick with me for a long time! Re: Circe I kind of want to try some different Greek mythology books because I don't think I've really read any. Several of my besties LOVED Song of Achilles, but that's by the same author.
Let me prioritize Chlorine, just for you!! Thank you for your lovely comment as always and have the best June xoxoxo bye
When you said you’re sensitive and easily devastated, girl I felt that 😭 Despite being from the UK I found Civil War as distressing as you, it just didn’t feel necessary. I also loved Furiosa! It was so much fun.
Looking forward to hearing what you think of Chlorine as I’ve been wanting to read it for a while 🥰
Plenty of tears were shed over here too! And yes, I feel like I saw so many rave reviews about Circe but maybe that was just when it was newer and won a Goodreads choice award ... I think it's still entertaining even if it's not your favorite!
Will never get over your sad Snow White moment. You were important to that baby, even if just for a fleeting moment. <3
also, ryan gosling forever
I love you!

Have you tried the whipped cream one?!

Thank you for caring for the little fawn 😭
Is there a support group for those trying to read Anna Karenina ?!
If not we need to start it 😅
gotta read a full post from you on the K-beauty book! I read it last year and am desperate to discuss
oh yes absolutely let's discuss immediately
